"The essence of my teaching comes from faith and love that exist inside music and students’ potential". from Sejeong Jeong's teaching philosophy

As an educator, Dr. Jeong's objectivities as a teacher come from the strong statement, “a teacher’s purpose is to help students to find their own vision and image”. She has taught piano to numerous students from beginning to an advanced level over ten years. She successfully prepared students for the music school entrance exam at a college level and national competitions. Additionally, Dr. Jeong volunteered as a Music Theory Instructor at Welfare Foundation, South Korea.  At Illinois State University, she assisted giving master classes to undergraduate piano major students of Dr. Russell’s studio. As a selected member of the Global Culture Tour Team which was sponsored by Sookmyung Women's University in Korea, Dr. Jeong participated in the music education research of Musikschulein in German.  Now, Dr. Jeong teaches private piano lessons and piano literature courses to students in the west suburb of Chicago.

"I believe that students reflect their teacher. Great students mirror a great teacher.  It is my life’s work to help students discover their own vision and image which will lead them to their calling as well". from Sejeong Jeong's teaching philosophy
