As a collaborative artist, Dr. Jeong received her doctoral cognate in Chamber music from College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Over the years, she was coached in chamber music by many artists including Sandra Rivers, Gershon Gerchikov, Yehuda Hanani and Awadagin Pratt. Throughout her childhood, Dr. Jeong frequently played with her siblings in piano trios which deepened her appreciation for ensemble music at an early age. Starting from elementary school, she and her siblings held family concerts in which the proceeds were donated to orphanages. These benefit performances continued in college where Dr. Jeong would perform with her sister for the children at House of Hope, an orphanage in Korea. Additionally, her benefits concerts continued throughout her studies in the States. She performed for Blair House Senior Independent Living Community, India Kuki tribe with ISU colleague, and Christmas Eve concert at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.

Dr. Jeong also worked as a pianist in Wind Symphony Orchestra at the Illinois State University (ISU) which lead her to experiences new musical works from composers such as Michael Colgrass, David Maslanka, Scott McAllister, Jennifer Higdon, Paul Dooley, and Steve Danyew. She also participated as a pianist for recordings which released Naxos records. Lastly, Dr. Jeong has had a unique experience with the genre of “Prepared Piano” by premiering Dr. Magnuson’s Innsmouth, Massachusetts-1927 and by writing her doctoral dissertation "A Performer's Guide to the Prepared Piano of John Cage: The 1930s to 1950s" which she enjoyed.
